Let's start on the "Miyako Island Loop Bus" journey!

Go out of the arrival lobby at Miyakojima Airport and go to the left to find a loop bus stop. The bus arrived on time, so I'll get on immediately. It takes about an hour's bus journey to the destination Inguya Marin Garden. Along the way, the 1690m long Kurima Bridge, which connects Miyako Island and Kurimajima Island, passes, and you can enjoy the view above the sea leisurely.

While enjoying the view from the window, I arrived at the first destination in no time. Inguya Marin Garden is a Seaside Park that takes advantage of the natural cove.
The calm sea of waves is also famous as a spot for snorkeling and diving. Even beginners can enjoy it, so it is crowded with many people in summer. Now, after about 10 minutes along the promenade to observation deck surrounded by sea on both sides, you will finally arrive at the observation deck. Looking back on the north side where I walked, the emerald green beach is impressive, and on the south side the coral reef sea, also called a stone carpet, is impressive! There are stairs, but it is not a long distance, so small children and the elderly can come without any problems. After relaxing with a magnificent view in observation deck, you will leave the Inguya Marin Garden and walk to the Shigira Resort on foot.

After lunch, we walked for about 5 minutes to the bus stop. I had a little time, so I bought Okinawa souvenirs at Don Quijote. I arrived at Miyakojima City Public Market in about 15 minutes. In the market, there are shops selling Miyako specialty products and restaurants, so it's fun just to look at it. I was lost because there was a lot of delicious things, but this time I received Miki, a traditional fermented food from Kurimajima. It was completely different from what was sold in cans at supermarkets, etc., and it was not very sweet and very easy to drink. After this, I would like to walk around the spots near the public market.

I came to Monte Dole Honten, which is about an 8-minute walk from the public market. Banana cake is popular as a standard souvenir of Miyako Island. Speaking of Miyako Island, many people think of Monte Dole's banana cake? And if you say Monte Dole Honten, "banana juice" cannot be removed. Among them, the soy milk version is recommended. In addition, freshly made banana cakes can be purchased only at the main store in the store. The sales time seems to change from day to day, so please check with the store.
