Favourite pottery found in Yachimun City (Pottery Market) in Okinawa

Pottery and pottery markets are held in various parts of Okinawa Prefecture, and one of the largest events is the Moon Beach Okinawa All Island Yachimun City. Held every year at The Moon Beach Museum Resort, this event is the 29th popular event in 2024.

Historic pottery gathers from young artists in the prefecture, and works with taste are exhibited. Yomitan Village is located in the central part of Okinawa Prefecture. It is held once a year in a market slightly away from Yachimun no Sato, where famous potteries are located. This event lasts more than 20 years. Tents are lined up in the outdoor area, and there are yachimun with large and small individuality. The sight is like a European flea market. One of the ways to enjoy the excitement of searching for your own secrets.

A pottery market held in Yomitan Yachimunnosato. The Yomitan Yamayaki kiln and Yomitan Yamayaki north kiln are jointly held, and artists from each workshop may sell directly. Yachimun is sold at normal 20-30% OFF, so it is also recommended as a bulk purchase for yourself or as a souvenir for women's friends.

Tsuboya, Naha-shi, located in the southern part of Okinawa Prefecture, is a place where historical pottery is produced. Therefore, the Tsuboya Pottery Festival is held once a year. A spot sale of pottery works that have been running for more than 300 years is held, and during the festival period, it can be purchased cheaper than the normal price, so pottery fans from inside and outside Okinawa will come together.
