Speaking of Okinawa's local sweets, "Sirta Anda Guy" and "Chinsuko" are famous, but they are also famous.
Do you know the existence of "poo"?
When I ask Uchinanchu, it is a local confectionery that is popular in Okinawa, where everyone nods "know".
This time, I will tell you from the history of "Papo" that you want to teach to someone from tomorrow to how to make it.

What is Phopo?

It is a local confectionery made of flour baked, painted with "oil miso" (undersu) on the surface, and wrapped around Okinawa.

In Okinawa, on May 4th in old calendar called "Yukkanuhi"
It is customary to make and offer popoo at each home in prayer for the healthy growth of children.

I also had a Buddhist altar in the house where I was born, so I offered it.
※What is Yukkanuhi: The wish to pray for the bountiful catch of the sea and the Harley Tournament, which competes for speed on the old Okinawan fishing boat Sabani, will be held.

Okinawa also has Okinawa confectionery like a relative of "Poport" called "Chinbin".
In fact, there are differences, but many citizens of the prefecture do not know what is different. It seems that there are times when the name is mixed at home or in the community.

To summarize the differences in an easy-to-understand manner
"The surface of the dough is painted with oil miso." → Popoo.
"I'm baking and wrapping the dough with brown sugar." → A little bit.

Now you have taken a step forward as an Okinawa Confectionery Master.

How to make a simple poo

You can easily reproduce the taste of Okinawa at home, so I will introduce how to make it.

➀Sprinkle the flour and baking powder.

②Put ➀ in a bowl, add water, mix, make gentle seeds, and add salad oil.

③Bake it in a frying pan.

④When burned, place the undersu (oil miso) in a stick shape at one-third of the skin, and wrap it to complete. ※Put the undersu (oil miso) inside and roll it, so it is recommended to bake it thinly!

A modern-style crepe! "Small Kitchen Repos"

It's Okinawan crepe for a long time! It is said to be "popoo".
There is also a poo that uses tacos and bitter gourd that are reminiscent of soul food.

The chewy texture of popopo is irresistible. There is no doubt that you will be full!
The menu offered changes with the season and what the shopkeeper purchases, so you can enjoy it whenever you go.
